RECENSIONE - REVIEW - CAGE Armour Chassis

Salve a tutti ho appena acquistato un nuovo armour vest e volevo recensirlo cosi che possiate vederne i pregi (molti) ed i difetti (pochissimi).
Si tratta della replica del CAGE Armour Chassis della Crye Precision che a tutti gli effetti non ha niente da invidiare all'originale.

Il CAGE chassis ha un aspetto più convenzionale da fuori a prima vista, ma in realtà mantiene gran parte del patrimonio di progettazione del telaio originale e le sue caratteristiche. Il predecessore al CAGE chassis è stato visto al Salone 2007 SHOT, ed è comunemente denominata 'Gen 2 Chassis'. Il CAGE chassis è essenzialmente lo stesso del Gen 2, con piccole ma sostanziali differenze / aggiornamenti.

The CAGE Chassis has a more conventional look from the outside at first glance, but actually retains much of the original Chassis's design heritage and features. The predecessor to the CAGE Chassis was seen at the 2007 SHOT Show, and is commonly referred to as the 'Gen 2 Chassis'. Note that there always have been numerous variants of the chassis, with only a few making it into the public eye. The CAGE Chassis is essentially the same as the Gen 2, with minor differences/updates.





Panoramica - Il CAGE chassis mira a fornire al soldato il massimo della protezione possibile con la tecnologia dei materiali oggi esistenti, mentre gli permette di svolgere il suo lavoro senza limitare la sua libertà di movimento e mobilità. Il CAGE chassis permette una mobilità nel modo più efficace, e può essere indossato in combinazione con la cintura Blast e/o con le estremità aggiuntive (spalle, bicipiti, avambraccio, inguine e coscia armatura) per fornire un importo supplementare di protezione per l'utente.

Overview - The CAGE Chassis aims to provide the soldier with the maximum amount of protection possible with today's existing material technology while still enabling him to perform his job without restricting his freedom of movement and mobility. It does this most effectively by being part of the CAGE system; and can be worn in conjunction with the Blast Belt and/or additional Extremity Armour (shoulders, biceps, fore-arm, groin and thigh armour) to provide an additional amount of protection for the user.







Il CAGE chassis è un sistema modulare, con componenti interni intercambiabili che possono essere regolati al fine di personalizzare la calzata per l'utente. Il pacchetto tipico incluso con il CAGE chassis comprende degli inserti interni morbidi davanti, dietro e sui fianchi mentre su schiena e dorso esternamente sono inserite repliche di piastre balistiche SAPI di Livello III. Il CAGE chassis è stato costruito per permettere all'utente di cambiare anche i colori dello chassis se lo volesse o per sostituire coperture usurate o danneggiate, senza dover acquistare un'altro vest grazie al fatto che tutti i componenti sono separabili.

The CAGE Chassisis is a modular system, with interchangeable components that can be swapped out to customize the fit to the user. The typical package included with the CAGE Chassis includes ballistic flanks and shoulders replica of Level IIIA+fragment protection. The CAGE chassis has been done done to allow the user to change chassis colours or to replace worn or damaged covers without having to purchase another vest because all components are changeble.





Il CAGE chassis è tagliato corto e finisce proprio sopra l'ombelico. Indossato in collaborazione con la cintura Crye Blast, permette una completa libertà di movimento quando si piega o seduti, pur continuando a fornire protezione balistica in vita e livello dell'anca. Il CAGE chassis è in MultiCam, Coyote brown, Ranger green o ATACSMultiCam, Coyote brown, Ranger green o ATACS ed è fornito di cinghie PALS su tutta la superficie per il fissaggio di tasche e quant'altro. Il telaio è a doppia uscita ovvero tirando uno dei due cavi di uscita che si trovano sulle spalle si dividerà il telaio lungo la schiena dell'utente e cadrà in avanti. Componenti del telaio sono disponibili in taglie S-XL, e possono essere mescolati e abbinati per adattarsi a una vasta gamma di persone. Il telaio del CAGE chassis è costruito principalmente in Cordura 1000D con materiali più leggeri utilizzati in zone non strutturali e bassa usura.

The CAGE Chassis is cut short - and ends right above the belly button. The CAGE Chassis is made in different colors MultiCam, Coyote brown, Ranger green or ATACS and it is covered in PALS for attachment of pouches. The CAGE Chassis has dual cutaway release pulls - pulling either one of two release cables will split the Chassis along the user's back and fall off forward. Chassis components come in S-XL sizes, and can be mixed and matched to fit a wide range of people. The CAGE Chassis is constructed mainly of 1000D Cordura with lighter weight materials used in non-structural and low-wear areas.


Il CAGE chassis è facile da indossare e si sente la differenza con gli altri armour vest grazie alla sagomatura per il corpo, ed al sistema 'soft', ma semi-rigida che ha all'interno. La semi-rigidità supporta le varie tasche attaccate senza presentare abbassamenti, e dato che il telaio è curvo, ci si sente come se fosse conforme al corpo (esattamente come un guanto un po' usato che si adatta alla mano), invece di avvolgere le parti piatte che vi circondano e cercando di renderlo conforme alla vostra sagoma. Andiamo adesso ad analizzare il comfort e la mobilità. Devo dire che il CAGE chassis è notevolmente più confortevole degli altri che ho indossato (Ciras, Warlord) ma è un opinione personale. In primo luogo, c'è la vestibilità. La combinazione di corpo-pannelli sagomati e le ampie cinghie imbottite sulle spalle distribuiscono il peso molto bene. Il sistema di allacciatura posteriore e le fasce in tessuto elastico permettono la messa a punto della distanza tra i fianchi e la parte posteriore.

The CAGE Chassis is easy to slip on, and the difference in feel between it and other vests is that the Chassis is more contoured to the body, with the 'soft' armour not really 'soft', but semi-rigid. The semi-rigidity supports the attached pouches without sagging, and since the Chassis is curved, it feels like it conforms to your body like a pre-shaped/curved glove, rather than wrapping flat panels around you and trying to make them conform to your body contours. Lets go now to analyze comfort and mobility. I have to report that the CAGE chassis is really comfortable more than the others that I have worn (Ciras, Warlord) but it is a personal opinion. First of all the wearability. The combination of contoured body-panels and the wide straps soft on the shoulders distribute to the weight and the load perfectly. The system of posterior fastening and the bands in woven elastic allow to the putting to point of the distance between the flanks and the posterior part.


L'innovazione, lunghe ore di studio e di attenzione nel design CAGE chassis sono evidenti quando si esamina nel dettaglio il telaio, e ancora di più quando si indossa.

The innovation, long hours of thought and attention into the design of the CAGE Chassis are apparent when you examine the Chassis in detail, and even more so when you wear it.

La replica di che marca è? Esiste in altri colori o solo multicam?

Da quello che mi ha scritto il venditore li ha in OD, MULTICAM, ATACS, CB, RG, TN, BK. L'atacs e la multicam costano leggermente di piu rispetto alle altre ma solo perchè il materiale è originale (real).

ah bene, quindi più colori che l'originale. Bello comunque, sembra comodo.
